Scouts is committed to girls in underserved and at-risk areas
and
invests resources through our Outreach Initiatives department.
What
is Outreach Initiatives?
- Outreach
Initiatives partners with schools and community organizations
to provide quality and exciting on-site Girl Scout program
facilitated by Girl Scout staff.
- Outreach
Initiatives provides access to a full
range of Girl Scout programs, services and support.
- Outreach
Initiatives provides training and mentoring
support to community organization's staff and volunteers.
- Outreach
Initiatives advocates’ parental involvement
and recruitment of adult volunteers.
- Outreach
Initiatives recruits girls in 1st to 6th
grades (older girls may participate in
Girl Scouts' teen leadership programs).
- Outreach
Initiatives provides various resources
including membership scholarships and financial
assistance.
- Outreach
Initiatives provides Girl Scout programs
that promote a memorable experience.
The curriculum addresses current
issues, community service, personal development,
and entrepreneurship.
- Outreach
Initiatives has two program seasons: the
school year and summer.
Outreach
Initiative Troops are located throughtout the Milwaukee Area.
