Autumn Tea 2007

The Circle of Pearls Society was created in 2000 as a way to recognize and acknowledge with gratitude donors who are committed to shaping the future of Girl Scouts of Milwaukee Area through financial support from their estates or other planned gifts. There are 41members and the list is growing.

Why is it named Circle of Pearls?
Juliette Low, also known as Daisy, dreamed of giving the United States “something for all the girls”: - an organization that would bring girls out of their cloistered home environments to serve in their communities and experience the open air.

Daisy personally funded her dream by selling her necklace of rare matched pearls for $8,000 to finance operations in the early days. With this funding and her unique brand of enthusiasm, the Girl Scout movement attracted many talented, educated women and girls by providing an outlet for their abilities.

How do I join Girl Scouts Milwaukee Area's Circle of Pearls Society?
Like Daisy Low, you believe in the Girl Scout dream. You too, have a pearl of matchless beauty in your commitment to and financial support of this dream. You may make provision(s) for a deferred gift to GSMA through your will, life insurance policy or establishment of a charitable remainder trust (examples below).

For information contact the Chief Development Officer at 414-476-1050
